LDV Mini Bus to Camper

Dave and Donna were given an LDV minibus for the sole purpose of conversion into their first motorhome. The van is actually an ex council minibus which was owned by a chap who had part converted it, it contained 5 of the original minibus seats, a small kitchen unit, a bench and a cupboard unit.

The bus was a bit of a mess when they got it (or I should say her as Donna has called her Lucy).

The first job was to strip everything out.

They had a caravan donated to them and it is now a donor itself. The plan is to salvage useful items and the scrap the old van.

This is a very interesting low budget project. Dave and Donna have spent a meagre £30 so far and that was on ply boards bought from Ebay. The couple plan to update their blog regularly as the build progresses so bookmark the site and call back again.

Dave and Donna have been hard at work and now, early May 2009, the interior is really starting to take shape.
